Almond leaves are a dieuretic and have antibacterial and Antifungul properties. It contains many vitamins and minerals, such as magnesium, phytosterols, saponin, quercetin, flavanoids, tannins, vitamin E, Fiber, Calcium, Biotin, Copper etc. Its high levels of magnesium help to balance the blood sugar levels in diabetics. Saponin is known to help with weight loss. Flavanoids help to heal gasteric and peptic ulcers.

Leaves have also been used to treat diarreah, liver disease, and cancer. Studies have also shown that almond leaves can lower LDL, also known as "bad cholesterol." It is also used to clear mucus from the upper respiratory tract and lungs, meaning its an expectorant. Adding some ginger to almond leaf tea can help to clean the walls of the colon. Herbs that are dieuretic help the body to release excess water and sodium via the kidney which reduces blood pressure.

  • Preparation

    Boil one almond leaf in about 12 ounces of water for about 10 minutes or until water color changes and look blurry. Cool and drink 6 ounces. Add a small piece of beaten ginger to the water when boiling for greater potency.
