Medina (Alysicarpus)

Jamaican Medina or Alysicarpus vaginalis, is a plant with a traditional use in Jamaican culture, known for its potential benefits as a sexual stimulant, and also used to remedy colds, fevers, back pain, joint pain. The plant grows throughout many forested areas on the island, It is an excellent source of iron , therefore, it is excellent to treat fatigue, anemia, and low blood count. Medina is also aledgedly used to treat STIs and urinary tract infections,  but it is best known of all as an aphrodisiac and as a booster for male virility. It has been used in many homemade tonic and roots drinks to strengthen the nervous system.
